Junior Mixed Cricket

Saints Cricket Club has only recently rejoined the junior cricket space. We are currently aiming to field at least one team in the Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15s age groups in 2026/2027. If your child is interested in giving cricket a go, Saints is the place to be.

When does Junior Cricket Season run?
Junior Cricket Season in Townsville begins in Term 4 of the calendar and resumes after Christmas in Term 1. Usually October through March.
When and where do Saints train?
Junior training is at a number of locations and days throughout the season, including our junior home ground Oonoonba Park, James Cook University and Endeavour Park. When the wet season comes for us, if we are lucky enough, we will have some sessions at our main sponsor Wildcatz Indoor Sports. The training schedule is released to parents as we get closer to the season.
What equipment do I need to play for Saints?
Each team has a shared kit which includes pads, gloves, helmets and even bats. We encourage that all players bring their own protector but the club kits will be available to each team throughout the season. Playing shirts and pants are provided as part of registration.
Is Saints Cricket Club a Play On! Sports Activity Provider?
We sure are. If your child is eligible to receive a Play On! Sports Voucher this season, we highly recommend applying and using it to cover nearly the whole registration costs for the upcoming season. Our team can help if you are having any issues with your application.
